Legacy Decks is truly an exceptional company.We have a cedar home in NC that was being completely destroyed by wood boring carpenter bees, and woodpeckers. Replacing the damaged wood year after year was very costly. This led me to search for some type of composite product that looked like real wood. I loved the TimberTech Vintage collection used for decking. I asked a local distributor if we could use this product to replace the cedar cladding on the whole side of the house, not just the decks. He said he believed so, but he didn’t know anyone who had done it, or anyone who had actually installed it!I spoke with several contractors before I found Nick Stevens at Legacy Decks. After explaining what I wanted, he admitted that they also had never done an entire house, but that he was very interested and excited about the idea. I can’t tell you how relieved I was to hear that finally someone was actually interested in finding out what it would take to turn my vision into reality!Nick contacted TimberTech and together, they worked out a plan. This was a lot of work and they kept me up to date every step of the way, but never bothered me with any of it. When a problem came up, they figured it out and fixed it!The entire outside of the house, two decks and a screened in porch are all finished now and the house is an absolute showpiece. On top of that, it is completely impervious to the bees now!The entire Legacy Decks team, from beginning to end, were the most professional, talented, kindest people we have ever worked with. I just can’t sing their praises high enough.

We could not be happier with our screened in porch, built for us by Legacy Decks! The process went smoothly. Their team works together effortlessly. Our screened in porch was built on a sloped lot with one part being 12 feet all the way down to 17 feet and it flows so well. We highly recommend Legacy Decks!

Would recommed Legacy Deck 10 times over! From the time Nick (Salesman) showed up at my house for the consultation/planning stage of my project telling him what I had in mind of what I wanted to do. He took pictures of my original deck, measured out what I wanted to do, and was able to put my idea of what I wanted into a picture of what it would look like upon completion. Nick gave me samples of deck to look at, but recommended coming to showroom to see in person on a bigger scale. Nick changed his schdule a little to meet me at showroom. After visiting showroom is when I made the decision to go forward with Legacy Deck to be the contractor for my project. He handed my idea off to Cody to start the most important part of coming up with a price for project. Once I agreed to the cost of the project, then I had a handoff meeting with Nick, Dana, and Sheay. At handoff meeting Nick handed project over to Sheay as project manager for my project. Sheay explained everthing that was going to happen from start to finsh. Sheay was a pleasure to work with answering all my questions, and concerns throughout project! Anything that came up with during project ex: contractor not being able to get to job site she always kept in constant communication with me keeping me in the loop. Sheay made doing this project as painless as possible for me. Legacy takes care of getting utility companies out to spray paint lines, getting permits, taking care of dumpster delivery/pick up, and porta John delivery/pick up. All the staff, and sub contractors/crews were very professional, and cleaned up their messes daily! Just want to say Thank you again to Nick, Sheay, and Dana for being a pleasure to work with from start to finish on my project! Good luck to Legacy Deck staff on current, and future projects! February 26, 2026.Legacy decks installed our deck/screen porch during November to February time frame. The installation process followed a plan of steps and payment releases for Legacy subcontractors.Legacy acted as general contractor and purchasing controls.Design of the structure was written and pictured prior to initial contract approval. The actual result was in line with their design. Several design suggestions from Legacy improved the design.City building permit and inspections were completed by Legacy.The first building step consisted of existing deck tear-off, site preparation with footings and house flashing, and building the deck. Framing was completed with treated wood. Surfaces were covered with Timbertech for flooring, steps, and underpinning. Metal rail was then installed. The result is very attractive. However, be aware that Timbertech has a soft surface.A porch roof was then installed by framing into the existing roof and exterior house wall. It was surfaced with metal. Roof pitch constraints were met. However, this step was challenging for the sub-contractor.Ceiling installation of the Versatex wood surface proceeded with some difficulties. Our choice for a dark color resulted in several of the cross joints appearing lighter. This may have been due to improper installation method. We still prefer our selection of the Versatex over the option of a white ceiling.Both porch screen and electrical installation was completed very professionally.We would recommend Legacy Decks. They may cost more than other deck suppliers, but they follow through to ensure customer satisfaction.

I am SO HAPPY I chose Legacy Decks for my outdoor renovation which involved replacing a second story balcony, a sunroom deck and building a stone patio and retaining wall. Before talking with Legacy Decks, I had interviewed other GENERAL contractors who were "researching" materials and processes, which made me nervous. Once I met with Legacy Decks and saw the beautiful 3-D rendition of my project put together by Nick, my sales contact, I knew this was the company that had the expertise to complete it. Jonathan, as my project manager, was great to work with and fully communicated timelines and explained decisions to be made. Hugo and his team were exceptional, especially when they jacked up my sunroom to straighten the doors and windows which had shifted slightly. The subs used for the paver patio and retaining wall were true artisans, as well as the metal design company that created my custom balcony railing. I love my new outdoor space and appreciate the wonderful professionalism and craftsmanship from all Legacy Deck parties involved in creating it!
