I decided for my second birth to research using a doula, and ultimately knew I wanted someone experienced, ideally with a DONA certification. I thankfully found Lauren and Down to birth through a DONA directory that was searchable by location! Lauren had personal and professional experience across multiple birth types, was knowledgeable in a range of topics with professional referrals (prenatal massage, pelvic floor therapy, spinning babies, newborn electives), and was readily available and responsive on contact. She was even available to spend her 4th of July with us watching fireworks in the hospital!

Lauren is the absolute best!! She was with us every step of the way through a really challenging labor and delivery. Her encouragement, thoughtfulness, and kindness made all the difference and her presence turned a hard situation into a joyful experience. She made making difficult decisions so much easier by bringing her wealth of knowledge and experience. I cannot imaging going through labor and delivery without her by our side.

Lauren was fabulous! She is extremely helpful with preparing for birth, and I was so thankful to have her with me during my delivery. She was my advocate and had me try numerous positions and pain management techniques to make my labor and delivery successful.

We would highly recommend Lauren and a doula to anyone. She is extremely knowledgeable and supportive and helped us prepare for our dream birth and contingency plans. She went above and beyond. We felt very prepared and confident in going into delivery and into post birth efforts. We are planning to use her for all of our children.
