Lauren was such a supportive and kind Doula during my third pregnancy and birth experience. I knew my third time around that I wanted it to be a vaginal birth after cesarean. I felt strongly about this and about having very little to no interventions. Lauren reassured me and made me feel confident in them. During my birth, there was a moment that my midwife asked for an intervention and I remember Lauren asking me directly what I wanted to do without any rush or pressure. The decision was solely mine with declining my water being broken. Something as small as this still sticks with me because I did not feel pressured to make a decision I would later regret. Moments before our little boy was born, Lauren took a moment to pray over us. This was such a sacred moment and I’m forever thankful for it.
