Our son started at Karate West when the school was still on Riverside in Fort Collins, and he earned his black belt a decade later. Looking back, we can't say enough good things about our experience.Kim and Lou Anne Yee have been wonderful mentors and role models. They create an environment that teaches much more than martial arts—students learn discipline, respect, confidence, perseverance, and integrity. Over the years, we watched our son grow not only as a martial artist but also as a person.The commitment, patience, and genuine care that Kim and Lou Anne show to every student are truly remarkable. Karate West became much more than a dojo to our family; it became a community.We are incredibly grateful for the lasting impact they had on our son's life and highly recommend Karate West to anyone looking for outstanding martial arts instruction and exceptional people.

Karate West is a great outlet for my kids to learn self discipline as well as self defense. The fact that they sprinkle in morals and ethics into every lesson is a big bonus too. I would highly recommend Karate West.

Very welcoming and friendly. I could see the respect from the students and the instructors in both directions. Well round curriculum leaning towards sparring and Tae Kwon Do. The time I spent with them was awesome (I'm semi retired from the arts now). I am from a different style for 33 years but they gracefully welcomed me and the sharing was bi-directional. I have reviewed many a dojo for publication back in the Pacific Northwest where I trained - so I say with experience this is a place you can trust, be welcomed and know you are getting your money's worth.

As a grandparent, watching our grandson promote his belt,and watching the the Demo teams,knowingly they work just as hard to show,and display such beautiful control physically and mentally of their surroundings and own bodies. I have been at Karate West for many years. They are excellent at teaching to very young (pewees), elementary, highschool, and adults. Generally enough classes in a week to fit any schedule. Highly recommend.

Lou Anne and her staff are excellent. If you have any desire to promote self defense for yourself or friends and family, this is definitely the place to go. Very reasonable rates and expert training. Highly recommended.
