Fellow ladies of a certain age and life stage (and everyone else, because there are people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities here), pay attention! I'm turning 50 in six months and decided that I needed to take control of my health. Enter 3&D. I often feel intimidated by gyms, but that didn't happen here. On your first workout, you are assigned a buddy to help you follow along, and I was partnered with a woman close to my age. I instantly felt comfortable, and that feeling has stayed with me. Each session starts with a coach going over each exercise, and every exercise is presented with three levels (think easy, medium, difficult). There is ZERO judgement if you choose level one every time (I'll be there with you!). Classes are small, so the coaches are attentive, encouraging, and available for questions any time. After the first week, I got a phone call from Coach Pearl asking how I felt and if I had any concerns. Coach Lovell told me that he's reading a lot about how to support women in peri/menopause (!!!) and he works some of that into the workouts he designs. All the workouts include stretching, strength, and mobility. I'm 49, overweight, and out of shape. If I can feel successful here, you can too! These coaches are here to motivate and encourage, not shame us. Join the family!
