Dez is amazing! We enrolled our Rottweiler Chilli, in both the puppy and adult program. She started the puppy program when she was 12 weeks old and we are so happy we started early. Having the convenience of one on one training at our house with Dez, was so helpful as it gave Chilli the opportunity to get familiar with her new home and surroundings. Dez’s knowledge and guidance gave us the confidence to train and lead our dog. Being able to see Chilli excel over the months was so rewarding. Highly recommend Arsenal Canine Academy!

Dez is amazing! I first saw her with a dog in Canadian Tire and was so impressed by how well-behaved the puppy was. We had just adopted a large, high-energy boy from the Prince Albert SPCA, and I knew right then that I had to train with her. I’ve had dogs all my life, small and large. I adopted an 8th month old Shepherd mix this spring. She became highly reactive - lunging, barking, not listening at all and was beyond my training methods. I actually got hurt from it. I contacted Arsenal K9, spoke with Desiree who took my dog in, boarded her and then trained her while I recovered. My dog now has a foundation, confidence and focus that she did not have before. She was always social with people and still is her sweet self but now we have her outbursts managed and are enjoying walks and social outings. The support I receive from Desiree is top notch. We cannot say enough GOOD things about the service that Dez provides. If you are on the fence about getting help with your dog through this service it is absolutely 1000% worth the cost and work.We sent our 7 year old lab Dexter to the board and train program in Prince Albert with Dez for one month. He had many issues including what seemed like separation anxiety, resource guarding (including some nipping incidents), refusal to kennel, constant barking & out of control leash pulling. We had a hard time establishing boundaries with Dexter. Dez was helpful in explaining what her program was all about and if it would be the right fit for our dog. She was kind enough to go above and beyond picking our dog up at our house in Saskatoon! She sent really great updates with pictures each week about what he had been working on. If there were more extensive issues to be discussed she called us to talk through anything else and tell us her concerns. She again, went above and beyond and brought Dexter back to Saskatoon when the month was up. She talked over everything with us in our home before bringing him back in. She provided us with so much information and it is very clear she is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her career in this field. Even when Dez brought Dexter down the driveway we could tell there had been a positive change with our dog! She gave us a training session in our yard and talked us through our many questions and concerns. After leaving us she checked in the next day and multiple times leading up to our next visit asking how things were going and answered any questions or concerns right away! She was constantly giving us tips and guidance with how to uphold all the training she had provided our dog with.Dexter has improved so much after his training with Dez that it is a night and day difference.He is much more calm, relaxed and confident. He no longer feels “stuck to us” all day, he previously had to be medicated for anxiety in situations like people coming to the door a lot, now he is not even phased by it, we feel in control and confident with all the help she has provided us. Dez taught Dexter great commands like “place” “leave it” “let’s go” “enough” we feel like our dog came back to us with really great boundaries that felt reasonable for us to continue working on everyday. There is a huge difference in walking him! Before he would be walking US and pulling with his entire weight wherever he wanted to go. Now he’s calm, relaxed, knows his place and is unbothered by other distractions.We met up with Dez after a few weeks of having Dexter home and had another training session where she went over our progress, gave us some adjustment tips and showed us a few new things!Dez is incredible at what she does and this service is worth absolutely every penny. She is passionate and so knowledgeable about this industry! We had the best experience with her!As long as you are committed to maintaining boundaries and implementing her training when your dog returns home, the training really holds up.Dez is super cool, easy going and so knowledgeable with dogs! You can tell she has a passion and puts her all into her work. Goes absolutely above and beyond and I cannot recommend this service enough!

I can’t say enough good things about Arsenal Canine Academy! My dog came in with lots of energy and some stubborn habits, and the trainer, Dez, worked wonders. She was patient, professional, and truly cared about his progress. I noticed a huge difference in his obedience, confidence, and behaviour at home. She also made sure I understood how to continue the training at home, which was so helpful. I’m beyond grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for real results! We had Dez as a trainer and she was super professional and worked very well with my dog!He definitely misses her

Dez is amazing! Both our dogs who are very opposite of eachother (1 anxious and timid, 1 very stubborn and aggressive) have improved so much after training. 2nd full day home and walks alone are so much more enjoyable!! Definitely do not regret choosing Arsenal Academy, very happy with our results 😀. Highly recommend!

Dez is hands down the best trainer! I have two dogs and my one is very old and sick. My younger girl was becoming a bully to my old man! I called Dez to help me become the assertive leader of the pack and keep everyone safe and happy! After just one session I was seeing progress in my girl and I was immediately becoming more confident that I would be able to handle everything! Dez training program is the perfect progressive program that builds off skills with each session. I highly recommend Dez to anyone who's looking to increase confidence with their dogs and learn skills for sustainable pack leadership in and out of the home! Our pup, Gia, was so full of energy and really needed some training. She was almost impossible to take for a walk and usually jumped up on people. We knew we needed to get some help with training or we wouldn’t be able to enjoy her.Having one on one training was a good decision. Now Gia walks really well and I can take her out to the park. We are still working on the training but are confident that Gia will become a well behaved dog that we can love and enjoy having share our home.
