I found Amber thru you tube videos. Amber teaches more contemporary songs of my era - 80’s and 90’s and her method was very easy to follow. The first song I learned from her was Pompeii by Bastille. Then every week she would post more challenging but not impossible songs to play. She updates the courses with fun things like monthly challenges, Strum-Alongs and a private app we can use to communicate and post our progress. She is always available for questions regarding strumming, technique and instrument advice. I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn to take up Ambers course. Amber has a very calm and organized approach to teaching. I have used several other courses prior to signing on with The Stellar Guitarist and often left frustrated after the first few lessons. That has not been the case with Amber and I have made much better progress with her course. I strongly recommend it for beginners or early intermediate players.

I started Stellar Guitarist a couple months ago and am having the best time learning songs with Amber each week. She releases a new song every Sunday and also has over 160 songs in her song library which is growing by the week. She also offers a course called Pick It Up which focuses on finger style guitar and another called Level Up which goes beyond the basics. I love her teaching style and am learning so much.

Stellar has got to be one of the most clear and concise music teachers. Great song choice and clear tablature. I feel she is now my go to on you tube I have now graduated from couch noodler to campfire virtuoso AND she's quite a cutie too :-)

This course is excellent.It addresses all the little details I need as a beginner.The occasional messages are very encouraging.There are also many videos, and it seems like they've made an effort to keep things interesting.I'm practicing guitar while receiving feedback.By practicing a little bit every day, I feel like my finger movements and chord changes have become smoother.

Hello from SouthCarolina. U. S. A. I have been dabbling with playing my acoustic guitar on and off for the last year. Self taught. I have made great progress with basic beginner tabs ,notes, chords and strumming. But watching all kinds of guitarist play, makes me want more. I'm hooked. I found Amber on YouTube doing a tutorial on Ventura highway by America. After a week of watching I can do the play along with her. Minus the lick. I'm still working on that. Her teaching style is senior friendly for me at age 64. I signed up for her beginners course and when I complete it I will be thrilled to level up.
