I wanted to relax from the cool weather outside on my way home. So I went to New Capitol Restaurant. I ordered from here before, and I thank God that they serve breakfast dishes in the evening. So I ordered 1 French Toast Special (Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Home Fries) and 1 Orange Juice. I ate breakfast for dinner comfortably in peace while watching television, something I haven’t done since the start of the digital age three years ago. It is wonderful how people can find new ways to connect by searching for opportunities online. I enjoyed the service, from the waiter serving me very friendly to the compassionate clerk by the entrance of the restaurant. I was about to take the glass with me by accident, but at least I was able to get the energy to go home.On another evening, I stopped by to get the soup of the day. The waitress mentioned clam chowder, so I immediately ordered for the night. It was delicious. Good for the soul in the early winter days of the new year.The other day, they helped an elderly man with a meal, and I got an amazing Western omelette! New Capitol is the best diner in Kingsbridge. I often stop by to rest after a long day, or just to find out the soup of the day. Diners are a classic, and I grew up eating in them. I recommend New Capitol. They have an app that rewards you points per purchase called Toast. Less

I had the pancakes with ham. The ham looked like 2 sandwich slices. Not that appealing. It was still delicious though. I just ordered an extra turkey sausage. I gotta say it was salty, in my opinion. The fruit salad was nothing but cantaloupe chunks and some orange slices. I had to have thrown them for a loop when I ordered that. It was not a salad at all. They are short staffed but to see everyone not only do multiple duties, be pleasant and still provide the friendly service was great. I will say for better or for worst, their portions are huge. Two pasta orders feed 2 adults and 2 children and we had to take home (it was to good to leave behind). Definitly a go to when am in the area. Less

At the corner of Kingsbridge and Jerome...this old armory was told to me by a local as having a tunnel beneath it going westward...and it was thought of as a possible venue for a skating rink. Huge, castle like fortress, and picturesque. Less

They are fantastic at communicating and always are super nice. All I do is delivery with them so far and every time something has gone wrong with Uber, they are quick to assist me and either get my food out to me themselves or find a way to get me a refund. Their phone customer service has made me want to actually eat in the restaurant itself. Espie is fantastic! You can tell she’s genuinely a kind person.
